Fair housing

1. Equal Housing Opportunity. It is against federal law to publish a housing ad that states a preference, limit or discrimination based on race, color, religion, sex, disability, familial status or national origin. Many states and cities protect more traits, such as sexual orientation, gender identity, marital status, age, source of income, ancestry and military or veteran status.
2. Every listing is checked for wording before it is posted. Some words are blocked; others ask the poster to confirm.
3. Our search never filters by a protected trait. Senior housing that meets the 55+ or 62+ rules has its own listing type.
